Roasted Shishito Pepper Sauce

Let’s get saucy! This amazing recipe adds so much flavor to sandwiches, grilled meats, or simply as a dip with one of our other fresh produce ingredients.

Servings: 3-5

Ingredients

  • 8oz of Shishito peppers

  • 2 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt or nut-based yogurt alternative

  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil divided

  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • Salt and Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the peppers and sauté about 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally until they blister on all sides. Remove peppers from heat and slice off the stems and discard.

  2. Combine shishito peppers, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 2 tablespoons greek yogurt, 2 garlic cloves and salt and pepper in a blender. Pulse until desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Makes about 1/2 cup of sauce.

Recipe Notes

Storage: Keep in a clean jar in your fridge for up to one week.
